Mr. Yogendra Prakash Saxena has assumed Charge of Director Finance with effect from 1st October, 2023 in Mumbai Metro Rail Corporation Limited.
Born on 23rd May 1966, Mr. Saxena has Master degree in Commerce, Bachelor of Law and Fellow Member of Institute of Cost and Works Accountants of India. He has worked in the field of infrastructure projects and has experience of more than 34 years.
Before joining to Mumbai Metro Rail Corporation Limited, he was working as Executive Director /Finance in National Capital Region Transport Corporation Limited (NCRTC), a company under Ministry of Housing and Urban Affairs of Government of India having mandate to design, develop, finance, operate and maintain the Regional Rapid Transit System (RRTS) with an aim to provide fast, safe and comfortable rapid transit between Delhi and nearby NCR towns. He was responsible for Resource Mobilization from the government & Multilateral Development Banks, finalization of Financial Statements, Audits, Budget, financial concurrence, tax and other statutory compliances, Treasury management, overall supervision and monitoring of all finance related matters.
Prior to joining at NCRTC in September 2017, he has a vast work experience in senior positions at IRCON International Ltd, a public sector undertaking under Ministry of Railways, Government of India in the field of infrastructure construction. He has handled various aspects of financial matters during more than 27 years of service including overall project management and oversight on project delivery process from tender and bid review stage to project completion and handing over to client.
He also had the opportunity to work on foreign assignments including World Bank Funded Project. He has travelled to Algeria, Bangladesh, Japan, Malaysia, Malawi, Mozambique, Nepal, Saudi Arabia, Singapore, South Africa, South Korea, Spain, Sri Lanka, Turkey, UAE and Zimbabwe for various assignments.
